technologywithin were appointed by Orega to install their twiindata and twiinvoice solutions at their new Aberdeen site in Autumn 2022. twiindata is a network management solution designed for flexible workspace. It allows flexible workspace operators to give controllable levels of internet access to multiple clients in their building, whilst securely segregating their data from one another. twiinvoice is a leading flexible workspace voice solution that offers a full suite of services for users, including a mobile app, that allows them to make and take calls on their office number anywhere.

We sat down with Orega Implementation and Quality Director, Polly Bryan, to talk about the new office in Aberdeen, technology and to reflect on the industry as a whole.

Let’s jump in.

1. Firstly, tell us about Orega Aberdeen, what’s it like?

“The Capitol Building is located on Union Street in the heart of Aberdeen, it is a top quality BREEAM-rated building –a best-in-class space.  It’s superbly located, 10 minutes from Aberdeen Station and 20 minutes from Aberdeen Airport.

We’re offering serviced office spaces for solopreneurs through to teams of 100+, we’ve got small businesses through to household names it’s a great mix. The interiors are light, bright and cheering, and tenants have access to excellent communal spaces to collaborate along with quiet areas for privacy.

No serviced office is complete without coffee, which is why we have a top brewer offering whatever coffee you fancy, this sits alongside our tea offering and still/sparkling taps.”

2. Why is technology important in your workspace and for your client offering?

“Technology is essential to us at Orega, we install top quality services so our tenants can focus on their business. Partnering with you, is a way we can ensure we have a robust and reliable offer.”

3. How has your customer experience journey been with technologywithin?

“To be honest, I can’t fault it! The whole process has been seamless, with straightforward pricing at tender stage, to a timely flow of information of what was needed throughout the preinstall.

We had the added pressure of moving 100% of our clients from an existing location to the Capitol Building over one weekend, and I could not fault the team at technologywithin for making it as easy as it could be. Extra hours were spent with no resistance, the engineer Steve did not leave site until all was up and running and all clients were live.

The IP handover happened in record time making our seemingly unrealistic time frames to turn this around possible. It has been a pleasure working with the team.”

4. How are you finding the flexible workspace landscape in Scotland?

“Our centre in Aberdeen is 100% occupied! The market, like all, is ever changing, but we have a strong and loyal client base. We are also in talks with the Landlord to take on additional floors very soon. So, watch this space!”

5. We recently co-hosted a Women in Flex event with FlexSA. What was your highlight and what did you take away?

“It was a great event and so good to see so many familiar faces from the industry.

As you know the flexible workspace industry is in its infancy, and as such, it is responsive and agile. The panellists were candid with their experience, its challenges and successes – like many flexible workspaces we’re excited about what’s next but there are trials that have arisen over the last few years with more hybrid working, tenants taking larger spaces and cyber-sensitive businesses, so learning how others are responding gave real food for thought.”

6. What does flexible workspace look like in 2035?

“For Orega, it’s growth! We are looking to expand our portfolio greatly over the next few years and this is due to the change in demand from conventional leases to more flexible offerings. More space for people to come together in a hybrid working style, space for collaboration and space to take a quiet minute.

7. And for technology?

“Who knows where we will be, teams meetings via VR? I look forward to whatever is coming!”
