The role

technologywithin are looking for a Warehouse and Procurement Manager who can support our growing technology business from our small warehouse in Holbury Southampton.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s inventory levels are sufficient to always meet the demands of our support and installation teams. You will also guard against overstocking items, to prevent possible storage issues and prevent the creation of surplus stock in the fast moving tech market.

Responsibilites:

  • You will design and implement a stock storage system to work in conjunction with our proprietary CRM system.
  • Complete weekly audits of stock and take ownership for efficient stock records being enforced across the business
  • Prepare and document daily deliveries and shipments
  • Ensure an UpToDate inventory is held within our proprietary CRM of stock levels
  • Purchase new stock and negotiate favourable contracts and rates with suppliers, for both our UK and European operations
  • Work closely with the Installation, support and Accounts teams to organise an efficient flow of inventory
  • Look after engineer toolkits and site installation packs, ensuring they are appropriately stocked and noting any missing equipment after installations
  • Manage the disposal of assets to our third-party charity partner
  • Ensure management of RMA tickets to return faulty equipment to suppliers or manufacturers
  • Apply firmware updates and basic configuration to items such as switches and routers, in line with instruction from our installation and support teams.

Your profile:

You will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s inventory levels are sufficient to always meet the demands of our support and installation teams.   • An ability to work independently, whilst interacting with other local and remote teams
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software and other relevant programs, to aid the proactive improvement of the company’s systems
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills to ensure efficient inventory operations
  • The ability to multitask, as they often work on several tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills to accurately forecast inventory needs
  • A broad understanding of end-to-end supply chain and operations processes
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for dealing with our supply chain
